Slouch Overcorrect
Tired of stiffness from sitting? Try the Slouch Overcorrect.
If you’ve ever noticed tightness or discomfort after sitting at your desk, during a long car ride, or while relaxing at home, you’re not alone. Sitting for long periods places extra stress on your spine, leading to stiffness and even pain. That’s where the Slouch Overcorrect comes in.
Why should you do this?
Because our spines crave movement! The Slouch Overcorrect gently restores mobility and helps reset your posture, reducing the stress caused by prolonged sitting.
When should you do this?
Anytime you’ve been sitting longer than 30 minutes. It’s especially helpful during road trips, at the office, or when you catch yourself slouching.
How many reps?
Aim for at least 15–20 repetitions for best results. It only takes a minute or two, but your back will thank you.
Note: When performing, you might feel tightness or discomfort at the end range of your motion, this generally gets better with reps.
At Physical Therapy in Motion, we specialize in helping people move better and live pain-free. Using the McKenzie Method, our therapists provide one-on-one care that empowers you with the knowledge and tools to treat yourself. Many of our patients begin to notice improvement on day one.
We don’t just focus on short-term relief—we teach you how to stay in control of your pain so you can return to doing the things you love.
Disclaimer: If you currently have lower back pain, it is strongly recommended that you see a medical professional such as a physical therapist to thoroughly evaluate and treat you.
